Zagreb Zoo

Take part in the adoption program and become a foster parent to one of our animals. By adopting an animal for a period of one year, you enable the purchase of new toys and treats, and provide them with better care. The adoption can also be purchased as a present to a loved one, as a birthday gift, as an anniversary gift or as a present for any other special occasion. You have to admit that this would truly be a unique present! There effect is double: you will make your loved one very happy by providing them with a memorable moment, and help out the Zoo at the same time! The animal can be adopted for a period of one year, starting with the payment day.

Adopt an animal in 3 easy steps!

1) CHOOSE YOUR FAVOURITE ANIMAL

2) CHOOSE YOUR ADOPTION LEVEL!

Bronze adoption: up to 200 Kunas, with a minimal payment of 50 Kunas
What do you get?
- An adoption certificate containing the adopted animal’s picture and information about the species.
- One of the Zoo’s souvenirs (puzzles, playing cards etc.).
- Your name on the adopted animal’s enclosure (if you choose so).
- Your name on the web page of the Zoo next to the general information on the animal (if you choose so).
- A minimum of two updates on the adopted animal from the Zoo per year.

Silver adoption: 200 – 600 Kunas
What do you get?
- An adoption certificate containing the adopted animal’s picture and information about the species.
- Two tickets to the Zoo.
- A Zoo T-shirt.
- Your name on the adopted animal’s enclosure (if you choose so).
- Your name on the web page of the Zoo next to the general information on the animal (if you choose so).
- A minimum of two updates on the adopted animal from the Zoo per year.

Golden adoption: 600 Kunas and above
What do you get?
- An animal certificate containing the adopted animal’s picture and information about the species.
- Four tickets to the Zoo.
- A photo of the adopted animal (40 x 30 cm).
- A Zoo T-shirt and a surprise gift.
- Your name on the adopted animal’s enclosure (if you choose so).
- Your name on the web page of the Zoo next to the general information on the animal (if you choose so).
- A minimum of two updates on the adopted animal from the Zoo per year.

Should your adopted animal pass away or it becomes necessary to relocate it to another zoo, we will contact you as soon as possible. An adopted animal may have multiple foster parents.

3) FILL OUT THE ONLINE FORM!

If you have e-mail, please write it down. We need it to send you zoo updates and information about your adopted animal.

How to pay?
You may pay directly via online banking to the Zoo’s bank account 2360000-1101983046. If you choose to pay in cash, you can pay at our marketing offices on work days from 10:00 do 16:00h. Please announce your arrival ahead of time by calling 00385 1 2302 198 / 7 or send us an e-mail at marketing@zoo.hr!

When making the payment via a payment slip or online banking, it is mandatory to fill out the description of payment and reference number so we can confirm that your payment arrived. Otherwise, your adoption will not be valid!

When making the payment, please make sure to include the following information for description of payment:
name_surname_adopted animal (e.g. Hrvoje Marić Sea Lion).

How to receive the gift package (the adoption certificate and gift)?
If you choose to pay in cash, please announce your arrival in advance by calling us at 00385 1 2302 198 / 7 or send us an email to marketing@zoo.hr. You can pick up your gift package the same day you come to make the payment at our marketing offices.

If you pay directly, via online banking or payment slip, to the Zoo’s bank account, we will send your gift package to your home address (in case you are the one adopting an animal or giving the adoption as a gift, or if you choose, to the address of the person who got the adoption as a gift). You can also pick up the gift package personally at our marketing offices. Please let us know when you will be arriving in advance.

Zagreb Zoo will send all gift packages within Croatia at own expense. For sending packages outside of Croatia, adopters will have to pay additional shipping charges (for bronze adoptions it is 23,80 kn and for silver and gold adoptions it is 43,30 kn according to the price lit of Croatian post office.).

Congratulations! From now on you are also taking care of the Zoo’s inhabitants!
