Zagreb zoo started a new programme „Photosafari“ which offers a unique opportunity to photograph animals in interesting moments and from unusual places.

We are certain that you will agree that animals are interesting and especially cute. However, moments such as when a baby kangaroo peeks out of the mothers pouch or a hippopotamus yawning, when caught on camera are, somehow, even more special. While we often pose for the cameras, animals don't know that they are being photographed so you have to be quick on the „trigger“ to get the perfect photo. Except for the speed, you need to know where to point the objective for the perfect composition, what kind of lighting to use for perfect colours, and many other technical details.

Find out about all that and everything else you need to know about how to take a perfect photograph on „Photosafari“. A professional photographer will teach you the basics of photography while one of our educators will teach you about the animal you are photographing.

All participants in the programme get a group photo, and if you like you can take part in the competition for the photo of the month and win an award.
