Discover the world of animals through a camera lens while learning the basics of photography. One of our educators will take you thgrough the ZOO and make photgraphing of the animals possible, capturing them in interesting moments and from unusual angles, while a professional photographer will teach you the basics of photography – everything you need to make your BEST PHOTO.

All participants in the programme get a group photo as a gift, framed in our special photosafari frame.

The copmetition for THE PHOTO OF THE MONTH
All participants in this programme can also participate in a monthly competition for the picture of the month.. After photographing the animals during the programme, you can send your best photos at edukacija@zoo.hr. The photo should be up to 2 mb in size. We shall publish a gallery of photographs with your work monthly, and Zagreb Zoo will award the best photo with a gift package. If you wish, we can add interesting or funny descriptions and titles to be published along with your photos in our photo gallery.

Zagreb Zoo retains the copyright for all photographs entered into the competition for its own usage. All photos that enter the competition are published on the webpage of Zagreb Zoo along with the name and last name of the participants.

THE DURATION OF PROGRAMME: 2 hours
SCHEDULE: Saturdays and Sundays (look at times)
GROUPS: At least 8 persons, at most 20 persons
(in case there is less than 8 persons the programme is canceled)
AGE: Persons older than 8.
GUIDES: The group is guided by an educator and a professional photographer.

THE PRICE: 20,00kn (does not include the ticket to the zoo)
The tickets can be bought at the main entrance with mandatory reservations ahead of time. The reservations are made at the educator's office by phone or email.

THE PROGRAMME:
During a couple of hours, participants:
- tour the zoo with one of our educators,
- learn about the basics of photography from the professional photographer,
- photograph the animals according to given themes and, of course, desired animals while walking around the zoo,
- participate in organized feeding of the animals and organized games and tasks for animals to get a chance to capture a special moment or a situation,
- pet a live animal such as a snake while photographing it close up,
- take a group photo that they get at the end of the programme.

Saturday:
     February: 19.2.2011.
     March: 19.3.2011.
     April: 2.4.2011..;30.4.2011.
Sunday:
     December: 12.12.2010.
     January: 23.1.2011.
     March: 6.3.2011.
     April: 17.4.2011.

SPECIAL REMARKS:
- you need to bring your own camera
- the group gathers at the specially marked point at the beginning of the zoo (next to the Asian small clawed otter enclosure) where they meet the educator and the photographer
- the programme is canceled in case of very bad weather or in case less than 8 people is signed up.
